Duane enjoyed going to parties, especially birthday parties.  He loved coloring and was known to rearrange his colors' box from time to time.  Duane enjoyed playing cards, his version of cards, and liked to visit with people of all ages.  He was very particular of how his room was arranged, sometimes, the nephews would change it around but he would have them change it back.  He liked to visit Springs Sporting Goods in Muskegon, but he really enjoyed going to his brothers' store, Johnson's Outdoors in Montague.  Duane was a member of Shiloh Tabernacle and was not timid in his love of his Lord and Savior. 

Duane is survived by: his mother Diana Johnson; brother Mitch (Michelle) Johnson; sister Linnea (Randy) Kostrzewa; niece Katy (Eric)Gonzales; nephews, Joe (Ari) Kostrzewa, Isaac Johnson, Caleb Johnson, and Josh Johnson; special aunt, Cindy (George) Wiser; and their children Melissa and George.
